Celebration Weekend: Passing on the Story

We all have a story to share. We receive stories from those who came before, from friends, family and saints in this place. Our Diocese has a story to share to celebrate its 100 years. Our Benefice has a story to tell of centuries of prayer, praise and faith. We will tell these stories. We will hear these stories. We will pass on God’s story.

Stories within stories, within stories…diocesan stories, local stories, benefice stories, parish stories, church stories, congregational stories and individual stories swirled round and round during the recent celebration weekend. Tales, yarns, narratives, sagas, reports, chronicles, memoirs, articles, parables, descriptions, features, folk tales, tall tales, declarations and accounts all provided a fascinating, multi-layered, ‘page-turner’ of a weekend.
