For the past nine days, TJ, has been on a work experience placement in the Benefice.
TJ has been shadowing Fr. Peter and Rev. Naomi, finding out about the life and work of a Priest.
Each morning, he has joined in morning prayer, and throughout each day, he has been sharing in all sorts of activities.
He has learnt about the importance of prayer for a Priest.
He has learnt about being friendly, welcoming and approachable.
Finally, he has learnt about how important it is to be flexible.
A day in the life of a Priest can be long, but also immensely rewarding. Often, unexpected things crop up that need a quick response.
TJ has enjoyed his experience and found it immensely rewarding.
Thank you to everyone who has encouraged him in his vocation.
On the last day of the placement he travelled to all five parishes! On arrival at Stalmine, he was presented with a Prayer Book as a reminder of a very special week.
