It was an afternoon of gifts and treats – all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The doors of St. James’ church were open wide to welcome the gift of familiar faces and visitors alike, who came along to do good and feel good at the same time.

Once inside, sitting on cosy chairs draped with fleecy thows, surrounded by fragrant, flickering candles and twinkling lights, it soon became clear to everyone, that a special afternoon was unfolding.

Spa-like treatments, courtesy of Ceri and Tropic Skincare were on offer for all.  Mini facials, hand and foot massages and manicures proved popular treats.

A swoon-worthy afternoon-tea, comprising sumptuous savouries and delicious cakes was irresistible – all gifted by church-family members.

In return, our lovely visitors generously donated to this amazing charity., raising a total of £429.30

Huge thanks to all who came and supported the event.

Thank you to Ceri for her wonderful expertise and products.

Thank you to all the team who worked hard to make the afternoon happen.

Macmillan Cancer Support says, “We’re doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are.”

For guests who supported the event, it was mission accomplished: they left the venue, feeling good and having done some good.
