Few people can resist coffee and cake! It’s even more irresistible when it’s guaranteed to add pounds…to a charity, which in some way or other, touches us all.
Macmillan Cancer Support is currently hosting the world’s biggest coffee morning, and the families and friends from St. James’ Stalmine and the local community were only too happy to join in.
Pretty tablecloths were laid, mugs of steaming coffee were poured and chocolatey traybakes, velvety cheesecakes and other heavenly sweet treats graced the tables.
By the end of the morning, Macmillan had gained a few more pounds – £245 to be precise!
