💚 Harvest is being kept across our benefice with joy, and the festival illustrates signs of growth and love we see in our churches.
🏃🏻♂️➡️ Fr. Peter has had a busy harvest weekend!
☕️ It began with refreshments at Pilling, where the church was open for people to enjoy the harvest displays.
🤠 On Saturday evening, there was a fantastic harvest hoedown at Preesall.
👼🏻Sunday incuded an intimate family Baptism and concluded with an ecumenical harvest songs of praise at Pilling 🎶 with the diocesan chair of the rural focus group as the guest preacher.
🤔 But this was only a tiny part of all that is happening in our amazing churches.
✅ Last week, over 90 people gathered to celebrate harvest at Out Rawcliffe, on Friday morning St. Oswald’s was packed for Fleetwood’s Charity school harvest.
✅On Saturday night over 120 people shared in the hoedown.
✅On Sunday morning, nearly 150 celebrated harvest at Pilling with the school.
✅At the same time, over 70 children and adults celebrated harvest at Hambleton.
🤗 Again and again, we see signs of love, joy and growth in our churches. Whether it’s Forest Church at Stalmine or Raise and Praise at Preesall. God is richly blessing our communities.
🙏🏻 All this is happening through God’s rich grace and with the dedicated hardwork of our clergy, lay people and Pioneer Priest.
🍂Harvest isn’t over yet. Next Sunday is Eagland Hill harvest with their supper next Monday.
🧹 In the midst of last weekend, Fr Peter popped along to Eagland Hill to help with a bit of cleaning ready for harvest. ‘Never ask people to do something you aren’t willing to do yourself!’
🙏🏻 Pray in thanksgiving for all that is happening, give thanks for our amazing team. Pray for continued growth, and for a deepening of faith.
