Stay and Play, Saturday, is our twice monthly church service of fun, fellowship, craft and prayer. It is usually hosted at St. Oswald’s Church Hall, but it open to every Church across the benefice. In fact, it is open to everyone from Over Wyre and even beyond.
It is a place of friendship, and a place to explore faith for children and adults. It is for mums and dads, grandparents, carers, and families. It is a simple pattern of breakfast refreshments, story-time, craft, and a moment of reflection. It is a fresh expression of faith for those with no faith, those with faith, and those with questions. It is a non-threatening way to reimagine church. It is part of Rev Naomi’s amazing work with mums, families, and little ones.
It is a joyful toddler space, a happy toy space, an exciting craft space. It will be ideal for the younger ones in your family.
First and third Saturday of the month from 9:30am for a start at 10:00am, finishing at 11:00am.
Our first Saturday Stay & Play of the New Year will be on 7th January 2023. Come along, encourage family and friends with little ones to come along. Explore this welcoming place in Over Wyre on a Saturday morning.
Hands up if you LOVE a good story!
The little ones and the not so little ones who came to the Saturday morning STAY and PLAY services at St. Oswald’s LOVED them…just like Jesus’ disciples did over 2000 years ago!
Jesus really liked telling stories. He told LOTS of them.
How many of these stories can YOU remember?
The Lost Coin
The Precious Pearl
The Mustard Seed
The Wise and Foolish Builders
The Light and the Salt
These stories sprang to life in the summer services through prayer, craft, drawing, dancing and singing.
Judging by the happy smiley faces of all those gathered around listening to these stories, it was just the best way to spend a Saturday morning.
We hope to see you there!
