Preheat one welcoming venue and mix thoroughly with some hot, tasty food.  Whisk up some frothy beverages and arrange them carefully on tables.  Sprinkle liberally with fine friends from St. James’ church.

Turn up the heat, pour in generous quantities of chatter and laughter, stirring well until bubbling nicely.  Season well with pleasure and enjoyment!

“Go,

Eat your food with Gladness

and

Drink your wine

With a joyful heart.”

(Ecclesiastes 9:7)

An informal lunch get-together for the parishioners of St. James’ was certainly a diary date not to be missed.  Blustery showers and the impending arrival of storm Ciarán did nothing to prevent meeting up at the Seven Stars Public House, next to the church, for a lunchtime feast.

Freshly cooked, tasty hot meals were served with a smile.  Animated chatter and the clink of glasses were clear indications that a good time was being had by all.

Judging by the clean, empty plates at the end of the afternoon, the hot buffet menu and delicious desserts had been much enjoyed.

The verdict?  Seven stars for the Seven Stars!
